Bruce Lipton, a world famous doctor, educator and writer is often quoted by his supporters as an icon of self-help and fitness. Born in 1906, Bruce Lipton received his medical degree from Harvard University and worked for the U.S. Public Health Service for over twenty years. In his book The Biology of Belief: Research on the Changing Self, Bruce Lipton shows how our thought processes are linked to the physical body. Instead, he believesour unconscious mind provides the important information that guides and directs our behavior. And although this portion of our mind is much more difficult to influence than logic and reflection, it’s also more resistant to negative manipulation. This means that we can change undesirable behavior patterns far more easily and efficiently than we could with logic and rational thinking alone.

He says you need to be ready to go outside your comfort zone when solving complex problems, and he advocates using intuition as an extra tool. Because mindful information tends to limit our instinctive skills, consciously processing too much info at once may have a severe inhibitory effect.
